Vineyards situationThe commune of Aloxe-Corton, located above Pernand Vergelesses at thenorthern end of the Côte de Beaune, has the unusual distinction of having over half its area covered in Grand Cru vineyards. It has an exposure ranging from east to south and Southwest. Characteristics The Grand Cru appellation of Corton covers different vineyards among Aloxe Corton, Ladoix and Pernand. Corton is distinct from the individual Grand Cru vineyard "Le Corton". Wine making This wine is fermented in vats during 3-4 weeks and aged 18-20 months in oak barrels before bottling. Winemaker's comments / Gastronomy Maison Louis Jadot Corton Grand Cru yields a complex, powerful wine that is rich yet restrained, with concentrated Pinot Noir fruit and a full, fragrant berry and oak bouquet.


The red wines will complement roast meat or meat in a highly-seasoned sauce, game and most cheeses. Preservation This wine should not be drunk before 5 years and will certainly improve until 15 to 20 years.
