This release was created in collaboration with Cirque du Soleil to tell the story of the oak tree's role in the whiskey's maturation process. The whiskey is aged in a combination of first-fill sherry-seasoned American oak casks. And refilled sherry casks carefully selected by The Macallan Whiskey Mastery Team. This aging choice highlights the classic notes of vanilla, citrus and sweet oak that naturally develop through the interaction with the wood.
